Happiness School Episode #15 – Stop “Achieving” – Do This Instead

When I was working in finance I suffered a severe physical burnout, so I quit my job and started my own business. I got healthier, my business thrived, but I still felt this veil over me – why?

I realised that while my body was healthy it was my soul that needed attention. If we focus on too much negative emotion or thought and send that out, then that’s all we’ll get back. Fear is a huge problem for entrepreneurs and it can pull our focus from what we really want, not only in business but in life.
We focus too much on our means rather than our ends – this puts us under pressure, stresses us out and it shows in both our business and our personal lives. Instead we need to focus on making our journey easier, more natural – more fun!

I used to put work first every day. I took not only my problems but my clients’ problems as my responsibility and it filled me with negative thoughts. This only got worse when I tried to take on larger problems. I was pushing for both a 7-figure business and a 7-figure charity but now I’ve discovered that I needed to take a step back in order to move forward. Let me explain how.
